HyperOS

If any of you have a Xiaomi device relatively new, you have little time left before you have to say goodbye to MIUI, the software overlay currently in its 14th iteration. At the end of 2023, the Chinese manufacturer announces the arrival of a new “mobile operating system”: HyperOS. The quotation marks are important becauseit is indeed an overlay and not a new Android. Still, the name change is accompanied by a fairly significant overhaul, enough to see the difference with MIUI in any case.

HyperOS first emphasizes its lightness. It occupies on average 8.75 GB on the brand’s smartphones, less than the stock version (without overlay) of Android. It is also intended to run on different types of Xiaomi devices, creating an ecosystem where interconnection is facilitated. And of course, theartificial intelligence is on board for, for example, thatconnected objects make decisions for themselves, without you necessarily needing to define routines. Until now reserved for China, Xiaomi confirms when HyperOS will arrive here and updates the list of devices that will be entitled to it.

Here’s when these Xiaomi devices will receive HyperOS with us
