Xiaomi has just communicated on the deployment in 2024 of the HyperOS overlay.
This was important news that was delivered by Xiaomi last October, when the Chinese smartphone manufacturer presented its new HyperOS overlay to the public. The latter is intended to take over from MIUI, which for years was the Android overlay used in Xiaomi devices. And this week, we know when the world will be entitled to it.
The latest smartphones first
Currently, HyperOS is an operating system that is only available to Chinese Xiaomi consumers. But that will change in 2024, as the brand has just announced in a message posted on
- Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra;
- Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro;
- Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12S;
- Xiaomi Pad 6.
The Chinese firm also indicated in the same message that older devices will also be entitled to HyperOS. Their deployment date will be indicated on the X account, Xiaomi HyperOS.
What about Poco then?
Another brand should be affected by HyperOS: Poco. Poco’s X account thus explained that the operating system will first be available for the latest Poco F5, without however communicating on a particular release date. Here again, if you have a device from the manufacturer in your pocket, you will need to visit the X account regularly to wait for an announcement.
In any case, it seems that you will have to be patient if you have a Poco or a Xiaomi purchased a few years ago. Some people may even be entitled to the new version of Android before being able to install HyperOS on their phone. And you, what do you expect from this overcoat?
