HP’s gaming branch presents its new controller wireless intended for both PCs and smartphones : HyperX Clutch.

Reminiscent in certain aspects of the design of the excellent Xbox Series Elite 2 controller, this new model stamped HyperX is currently only available in the United States, at the recommended price of 49.99 dollars.

A Clutch move from HyperX

At a time when Cloud Gaming is experiencing phenomenal growth and smartphone gaming is on the rise, a versatile controller seems like a great idea. In any case, this is what HyperX said to itself with its new controller, aptly called Clutch.

In its structure, it borrows more or less the excellent design of the Xbox Series Elite V2, in particular on the layout of the buttons and on the texture of the handles. The Turbo and Clear buttons allow you to boost the performance of the controller, if necessary.

This controller allows you to switch seamlessly from a PC to an Android smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 or a 2.4 Ghz wireless receiver. It is also possible to wire it via an included USB-C/USB-A cable.

To play comfortably on your smartphone, a convertible clip allows you to plug your device into it (provided it measures between 41 and 86 mm in width).

Wireless controller requires, the HyperX Clutch has a 600 mAh battery that promises 19 hours of battery life on a single charge.

For now, this controller with interesting potential is only available in the United States. Let’s bet, however, that it should not be long in coming to us.
