HyperX expands its circle of influence by announcing its first two PC gaming screens with many convincing arguments.
Called Armada 25 and Armada 27, these screens do not have a trivial name since they stand out from the competition by including a particularly ergonomic arm that can be mounted directly on the desk.
A new, well-equipped Armada
With its very first two PC screens, HyperX intends to satisfy all horizons of gamers. As their name suggests, the Armada 25 and Armada 27 respectively display a 25″ FHD (1920×1080) and 27″ QHD (2560×1440) IPS panel. Both feature a 1ms response time, with a refresh rate of 240Hz for the Armada 25, compared to 165Hz for the Armada 27.
Both screens are a priori capable of reaching up to 400 nits of brightness. For better user comfort and better image quality, they are NVIDIA G-Sync compatible, but only the Armada 27 benefits from HDR400 technology.
On the connector side, we are on familiar ground with a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports (cables included). Both screens are therefore well equipped for console gaming.
One arm ahead of the competition
But what really sets these two displays from HyperX apart from the competition is the inclusion of a detachable arm that can be mounted on the desk from the outset. Each display therefore comes with an arm, a desktop mounting tool and a four-screw VESA mounting plate.
According to HyperX, this will save a lot of desk space, due to the lack of a stand that can be quite bulky. The arm can be oriented horizontally and vertically. The brand also offers additional desktop mounting arms and tools, sold separately.
HyperX also indicates that up to four Armada 25 can be mounted with each other, against two Armada 27. For this, however, you will need an Armada Addon Gaming Mount, offered at a price of 80 euros.
As for the price, it will be necessary to count on a price of 449 euros for the Armada 25 against 499 for the Armada 27. A rather high price, but it should be noted that a monitor arm is generally sold separately to around 100 euros. HyperX has yet to share a release date for its two new products, however, which are intriguing in more ways than one.
