Michel Drucker is a happy man alongside Dany Saval. He even considers his wife’s daughter as his own child.
Since 1973, Michel Drucker and Dany Saval have lived a passionate love. But the two lovebirds never had children. Nevertheless, his wife had a daughter, the fruit of her love affair with the composer Maurice Jarre. Now 57, Stéphanie Jarre is very close to Michel Drucker. So much so that the two collaborate in the recent play From you to me. And even though she’s not his biological daughter, Stéphanie Jarre considers the presenter of Vivement Dimanche as an adoptive father. “I am the step-dad, but I prefer to say the dad, because for me it is my daughter”, he explains.
Michel Drucker continues: “She was without a dad if I dare say since the biological dad had disappeared”. In effect, Maurice Jarre stayed away from his daughter, who was raised by her mother and stepfather. “Michel was exceptional because he supported me, he helped me, he was also afraid of losing me, that undoubtedly strengthened the bonds”, explains the host’s daughter-in-law. “Even if she doesn’t call me ‘dad’, I really wanted her to be my daughter. I adopted her”specifies the main interested party.
Dany Saval will have sacrificed his career for Michel Drucker
It must be said that Dany Saval has always been there for her husband. “She said to me: ‘I am organizing our life so that you can work in good conditions. You can become something other than a sports reporter'”explained Michel Drucker. The actress had even decided to put an end to her career : “She voluntarily quits her job. She has gone around it. And takes care of me. It was still extraordinary for a 29-year-old girl, in full youth, with incredible potential, to step back”the host explained: “Dany brought me balance, calm and boosted my ambitions. She gave me self-confidence. She said to me: ‘There is no room for two in the photo or on the ‘poster’. I found that incredible”.
A difficult pregnancy
Thus, Michel Drucker blesses life for having put this young woman on his way : “My meeting with her was a great chance (…) I have not seen the time pass and we have been married for half a century, which is rather rare in the middle”, explained the presenter. About future children, Michel Drucker knew that Dany Saval had suffered during her first pregnancy: “I knew immediately that she had almost passed there, at birth”. Indeed, Stéphanie, the daughter of Dany Saval was born in “5 months and 1 week”. “Three months in an incubator in Los Angeles. Every evening, leaving the maternity ward, Dany did not know if the little one would still be there the next day”, he added. Michel Drucker, who met Stéphanie at the age of five, has always considered her to be his daughter.
