“I am not politically correct” Alexandra confides in her exit

Alexandra was eliminated from Koh-Lanta the Cursed Totem during the 7th episode. The director of a media group goes into more detail about her elimination.

After the release of Stéphanie, the 35-year-old croupier, the candidates of Koh-Lanta and the Cursed Totem, continue the adventure. Survival conditions become more and more difficult and the atmosphere in the camp is felt. This is especially the case on the side of the reds who constantly lose events against the yellows. This is what happened in the 7th episode of the 22nd season of the show. Indeed, after having already lost to the yellows during the previous event, the red team led by their captain Louana, once again conceded victory to the yellows during the comfort game.

Thanks to Colin, Alexandra and Yannick who performed particularly well, the yellows were able to enjoy a comfortable night on a boat with music and dinner. A real moment of sharing which allowed them to be more united than ever. If the yellows had a good laugh, the atmosphere among the reds was rather gloomy. Food is a very delicate subject for Maxime who does not hesitate to let it be known that he is hungry, which is particularly annoying. Louana and Ambre who prefer to ration rice.

It is therefore with an empty stomach that the reds go to the immunity test which they will brilliantly win, thus sending the yellows to the council. Three people are particularly threatened: Alexandra because considered too authoritarian, Setha because considered less versatile on the tests and Yannick with his two cursed bracelets. It is finally Alexandra who will be eliminated by her comrades. She answered our questions.

You are the first to win an individual event so you become team leader. You have to create a team and live with strangers. Wasn’t that too complicated for you?

Everything went very well. I know that when I say that I am a leader it scared some people a little. Only the word leader, in the sense that I think of it, is more someone who wants to create a link and who unites people with each other, not necessarily a little leader who tries to lead everyone. From what I’ve been through, things have gone well. Among the blues we got along well, we often won and we were very organized.

During the composition of the teams with Jean-Philippe you have the possibility of choosing the 3rd leader, and you choose Céline by explaining that she would not have been an asset for your team. Don’t you regret your words which were a bit harsh?
I didn’t mean to hurt her but I’m not going to lie. I wasn’t going to make it up by saying that we choose her to please her children. That doesn’t mean that Céline doesn’t have qualities, it’s just that on paper, between her and Yannick, I prefer to have Yannick on my team at least on Koh-Lanta. Certainly it was not politically correct because I am not politically correct but at least, with me, we know where we are going, I am not lying, I am honest and sincere.

This sequence with Celine earned you criticism from viewers. How did you manage this with your family, your children in particular?
My children are 4 and 6 years old, they don’t have Twitter… In fact, everyone who knows me recognized me and laughed thinking that it was really me. After that, it’s not just that aspect of my personality. On the screen you don’t see my full portrait, so I go a bit like the girl who plays the little boss with everyone, suddenly the viewers have had their perception. My relatives were not affected, it’s true that I was not happy to see certain comments, especially since this image of an authoritarian girl remained for quite a long time, but I was faithful to myself. I don’t regret staying me.

During episode 5 you arrive at the stage of no return with Benjamin who reproaches you for your authoritarian side and your lack of hindsight on yourself during the trials. What do you say to him?
Benjamin and I work differently. From day one, he was looking for an immunity collar as everyone was giving up on camp. He plays it solo when I really have team spirit. Gradually it became complicated with him especially since Benjamin goes where the wind takes him. We are different and we tell each other that, but I don’t blame him. We lived a common adventure and that’s all I remember from him. On the other hand, I am in daily contact with Olga, Colin and Anne-Sophie. I have a real friendship with them.

In episode 7 you distinguished yourself during the comfort test. You are with Colin and Yannick the one who offers the victory to the yellows and they eliminate you at the end of the episode. Do you understand their choice?
At this stage of the adventure, Yannick had not performed very well, Setha is the least versatile and everyone thinks she has a collar… I knew the votes were against me, I was leaving defeatist because I thought that there was no way out. Setha played his game very well. His bluff worked well and I got caught up in a fatality when I should have fought. The only person I blame is myself

You who come from the West Indies, do you regret that the candidates from the overseas departments are not sufficiently represented on the show?
We are looking for personalities above all, not representatives of each territory! You have to try to be original in the way you send the letters. I applied 5 times and sent my application in a coconut to stand out. It is up to us to put ourselves forward.
