The team of the “Free weekend antenna” of Europe 1 (Friday to Sunday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.) has reserved a surprise for Yann Moix, at the helm of this meeting since the start of the season. This Friday, the columnist celebrated his 55th birthday. And for the occasion, the team of the show made him a small gift.

For his first season at the helm of the Free weekend antenna d’Europe 1 – renamed free antenna for a few weeks, Yann Moix celebrated his 55th birthday, this Friday, March 31, in the premises of the station. “You know what (Sacha) Guitry said: one year more, one year less”, he first replied to Raphaël Delvolvé who wished him a happy birthday before leaving him the reins of the studio. It was then that the team Free weekend antenna d’Europe 1 (from Friday to Sunday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.) has reserved a surprise for the columnist.

An archive of Michel Polnareff as a gift

At the microphone of Europe 1, Mathilde first listed historical facts that occurred on March 31, such as the inauguration of the Eiffel Tower in 1889 or the birth of René Descartes in 1596, before mentioning that of Yann Moix. She then launched an extract from Musicorama with Michel Polnareff, broadcast on October 8, 1967, as a gift to the French singer’s fan writer.

It was after the broadcast of this archive that the team wished, in unison, a happy birthday to Yann Moix. “Listen, I am very touched”, reacted the host of the Free weekend antenna. “I don’t want to be hypocritical (laughs), but I’m very touched. Thank you for this beautiful archive, for the cake (…). Thank you for being there everyone”, he said under the music by Happy birthday. After paying tribute to Michel Polnareff, Yann Moix greeted the team members one by one. “I love working with you, but I’m so modest that I prefer to take over the reins of the thing,” he said, somewhat destabilized by this surprise.
