“I apologize to the residents and their families”: the CEO of Orpea responds to the questioning of the nursing giant


EXCLUSIVE MAINTENANCE – Philippe Charrier, CEO of the Ehpad group, reacts to the complaint filed by the State following the IGF and Igas report.

Under fire from critics since the publication of the book The Gravediggers two months ago, Orpea is determined to defend itself. It is now in court that the Ehpad group will assert its rights, since the State seized the public prosecutor after having received, on the night of Friday to Saturday, a report commissioned from Igas and the IGF on the functioning of the group.

In an interview at Figaro, Philippe Charrier, CEO of Orpea, recognizes certain malfunctions and apologizes to the residents and their families. But he believes that Orpea did not break the law and refutes several accusations in the report.

Le Figaro. – On the basis of the report from Igas and the IGF that it received overnight from Friday to Saturday, the government announces that the State is filing a complaint against Orpea. Do you fear a conviction?
