The broadcast of a number of Forbidden Zone focused on Princess Diana on August 23 allowed those close to her to make revelations about her latest boyfriend.
- Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997 in Paris.
- She had a car accident with her companion Dodi Al-Fayed
- A documentary broadcast on M6 reveals that she wanted to break up
It was on the night of August 30 to 31, 1997 that the accident took place which killed Princess Diana, but also Dodi Al-Fayed, the man with whom she was then in a relationship. With the approach of the 25th anniversary of the death of the princess, documentaries follow one another and an episode of Forbidden Zone on M6 was even dedicated to Lady Di on August 23rd. Entitled Diana Confidential, the documentary looks back at recordings made by Princess Diana herself and commented on by people around him. This is how Lady Di’s former butler, Paul Burrell, spoke of the princess’ last vacation, on the yacht of her billionaire friend Mohamed Al-Fayed and in the company of her son, Dodi Al-Fayed, with whom Diana got into a relationship.
According to the former butler, the princess of hearts didn’t really enjoy it. “She said, ‘I can’t take this boat anymore, Paul. I can’t wait to go home. I want to see my boys. It’s freezing inside with the air conditioning, and we’re cooking on deck. I want to go home’. If you look at the latest images of the princess, you can see that she is not a woman in love“explains Paul Burrell. And for good reason, the documentary also reveals that Diana wanted to break up. Richard Kay, journalist at DailyMail to whom Diana sometimes gave some information about Buckingham Palace, was also a friend of the Princess of Wales. And when he sought to have a scoop on Dodi Al-Fayed and his drug use During a telephone conversation with Harry and William’s mother, Diana made comments to her that made it clear that she wanted to separate from the billionaire’s son.
Lady Diana didn’t have time to break up with Dodi Al-Fayed
“She said to me, ‘Dodi doesn’t do cocaine.’ But then she said to me, ‘If you find out that Dodi is doing drugs, you have to do an article and publish it'”. Charles’ ex wanted his journalist friend not to hesitate to make public a possible consumption of cocaine in order to have the perfect reason to leave. Richard Kay is thus persuaded that she “was looking for a way out of this relationship, which had become so intense”. Princess Diana will unfortunately not have had the opportunity to part with this man which she did not seem in love, since it is with him that she died following their car accident in the Alma tunnel, in Paris, on this tragic evening of August 1997.
