I.CERAM – 2022 turnover – 02/22/2023 at 6:30 p.m.

I.Ceram, a specialist in innovative biocompatible ceramic implants, closes the year 2022 with a turnover of €1,406K compared to €1,572K in 2021, despite a 3% growth in the number of implants sold , rising from 1,967 in 2021 to 2,028 in 2022.
Business in France, down 16% to €1,068K, was impacted by new regulatory provisions affecting Europe (MDR – Regulation (EU) 2017/745) and pressure on selling prices.
The good orientation of the export activity partially offset this lower commercial performance, increasing by more than 12% to reach €338K in 2022 and now represents 24% of total turnover. In addition, billing for services (machining, imaging and technical tests) more than doubled in 2022 to €98.5k. These services benefit from the latest investments made by the company, which are the electro-polishing center and the X-ray tomograph.
Sales of ceramic implants (€183k in 2022 versus €244k in 2021) were also impacted by the new regulatory provisions. 85% of this turnover comes from sales of new generation implants (sternums loaded and unloaded with antibiotics).
