The funeral of Jean-Pierre Pernaut was held this Wednesday, March 9 from 11 a.m., in the Sainte-Clotilde church in Paris. Seven days after the death of the favorite journalist of the French at the age of 71, his relatives gathered to pay him a last tribute. Many personalities were present including Brigitte Macron, Carla Bruni, Sébastien Cauet, Nicolas Sarkozy, Valérie Pécresse, Denis Brogniart or even Cyril Hanouna. This ceremony was particularly difficult for Bernard Montiel who confided in BFMTV on his arrival at the Sainte-Clotilde church.
“He was very unifying. People loved him and they were right to love him. I worked a little with him. You learn a lot with people like him and there’s not a lot left”indicated, initially, the columnist of Touche not at my post and former host of TF1. “I am very sad. I didn’t even want to come. It’s always difficult”added the one who had cracked live on C8 when he learned, Tuesday, March 2, of the death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut a few minutes earlier.

Very close to Jean-Pierre Pernaut, Cyril Hanouna could not miss the funeral of the journalist. The star of C8 also stopped at the microphone of BFMTV before the ceremony. “He was a friend, a confidant in the job. He was always there when I needed him. When I started, he supported me and was always there for me. I followed his last moments with Nathalie. For two weeks, we have known that it is complicated. For me, he has not left. He is one of the men who helped me the most in the profession”he confided.
