“I didn’t expect it”, a candidate deplores the absence of a loved one at his wedding

Married at first sight season 8 : Let’s go ! M6 kicked off the 2024 edition of its entertainment during which couples form in front of the altar to seal their union after a furtive encounter. Experts bring them together in Gibraltar, in front of their respective families, after studying their degree of compatibility. After they say ‘yes’, the two spouses take off on their honeymoon and must get to know each other. A risky bet! The previous season did not really bear fruit since no couple is still united to this day. Not even the one formed by Pedro and Jefferson, the first gay couple in the history of Married at first sight…

If viewers will gradually discover the 15 candidates, some are already attracting particular attention. This is the case of Ophélie, compared to the influencer Caroline Receveur because of her physique, or else Tracy, whose difficult childhood nourished an emotional dependence which caused him many difficulties in his previous relationships. The 31-year-old ready-to-wear manager must meet Flo, a Bordeaux resident who is generally very invested in the romances he experiences. “I’m a guy who lives things at 200%, so I have a life at 2,000 miles an hour. In love, it’s the same pattern. I often realize that I’m not at the same cruising speed than the person in front of me”, he explains in his portrait. Both would be 81% compatible according to expertsincluding psychologist Estelle Dossin.

Flo must give up getting married in front of her mother

Before meeting Tracy, Flo must announce to his family that he is participating in the show Married at first sight and that he could marry her. The news is very well received by the suitor’s parents, including his mother, Myriam. “If that’s what you want, I’ll go for it. She’ll be welcome.”, she wants to make it known from the outset. However, things did not go as planned and Flo’s mother had to resign herself to contacting him by video to tell him some very bad news: she will not be able to travel to Spain to attend the celebrations. “I got a call from my mother. She has some health issues which meant that, after careful consideration, she preferred not to come to my wedding”he comments in front of the camera M6.

In the process, Flo revealed that his mother suffered from a chronic illness, the details of which he did not wish to give. “It’s hard, I did not expect that. But I cannot let my mother run the risk of this trip and this overflow of emotions which could cause her health problems. My head is always a little confused, as if someone had bombarded me with blows“, adds the (possible) future spouse, sorry but lucid. For her part, Myriam confirms that this situation “weighs”. “I am full of emotions. I confide and give my little jewel to this young woman”she explains in turn, before offering him a watch to show him her affection and let him know that she would be present in a certain way.

Tracy oppressed, she wants to run away

Viewers do not yet know if Flo and Tracy will agree to tie the knot. On the other hand, the tension is at its height since the young woman suggests that she is not ready to take the step. “It’s not going to do it. I wonder what I’m doing here. I wonder if I will succeed in building somethingif I really deserve love, if I will succeed in getting married”, Tracy can be heard confessing. She was not really reassured when she discovered a letter from Flo’s mother that she was kind enough to read before appearing in front of the altar to discover the chosen one.

Unfortunately, Tracy’s latest confessions do not augur anything concrete for the rest of her adventure. “I’m so stressed that I shut down. And I think I put myself in defense mode a little. I protect myself, I put on my shell. I’m there, but I’m not there. As if I’m coming out a little bit from my body. I feel oppressed.
