When he was invited on the set of BFM TV on February 8, the journalist then asked the Minister of the Interior if the government had not “woke up a bit late”, with the announcement by Emmanuel Macron of a law on internal security in the last months of the five-year term. In February 2018, a woman filed a complaint in Paris against the minister for abuse of weakness, leading to the opening of a preliminary investigation. In the columns of Mediapart, she claimed to have “felt obligated” to have sexual relations with him in order to obtain housing and a job in Tourcoing: “Gérald Darmanin abused me but he did not force me to have sex with him. (…) I felt obliged to do so in order to have housing and a job”. According to the testimony published by Mediapart, she had asked for the first time in September 2015 the then mayor of Tourcoing, to change accommodation.

Gérald Darmanin: the complaint of this classified woman
