Happy to be back in stores with a brand new record, Keen’V has dedicated a title to this musical project that evokes a particularly intimate subject for him: his lack of paternity. Indeed, the singer is sterile and cannot have children by natural means with his discreet wife older than him. He thus recorded the song titled not dad. How does he experience this injustice of life? “It is painful [le sujet de la stérilité, ndlr] only if we want it. I can’t fight this. When I found out, I felt a weight and I wrote the song immediately. I have a lot of love to give. One day, maybe, I will adopt“, he says. I understood that mine was not to write sensible texts à la Stromae but to bring joy to people. I don’t know how those who follow me feel, what they experience on a daily basis. But my goal, when they come to my concerts or listen to my music, is to make them feel good.
