“I gave myself a war wound”: the stars of Cat’s Eyes mistreated on the set of the next TF1 event series

Launched almost a month ago, the filming of Cat’s Eyes, one of the most anticipated TF1 series in 2024, is proving particularly intense for Camille Lou and Claire Romain. The two actresses shared their impressions this week.

It’s not easy being master thieves. The two actresses Camille Lou and Claire Romain learned this the hard way with Cat’s Eyes, filming of which began in Paris and the Paris region on October 19.

As a reminder, the famous eponymous manga and anime by Tsukasa Hōjō, which the future TF1 series adapts, tells the story of three sisters, Tamara, Alexia and Sylia, who run a café together. At least during the day. Because at night, the three sisters become formidable thieves who seek to recover the works that belonged to their father, a German artist who disappeared without a trace during the Second World War. Tamara, Alexia and Sylia hope that by bringing together his entire collection, they will be able to find him.

In the sequel imagined for TF1, in which Camille Lou, Claire Romain and Constance Labbé play the three Chamade sisters, the latter meet again, after several years apart from each other. At the same time, a work by their father which had disappeared under strange circumstances reappears, which encourages the three thieves to team up again.

Six weeks of preparation for the three actresses before filming

Such a story, which is reminiscent of the modern rereading of Lupine recently offered by Netflix, inevitably involves particularly physical scenes of chases or stunts. Scenes that require specific preparation.

“We taught the three actresses abseiling techniques. They also know how to tie knots, run, jump, roll, and even fight. We try to put them into action as much as possible”explains, to Tele-LeisureAlexandre Cauderlier, physical stunt adjuster in charge of safety for Team Cauderlier, who trained Camille Lou, Claire Romain and Constance Labbé for six weeks.

“I had a tear, but it’s great to think that I climbed the Iron Lady!”

Preparation that limits risks but does not prevent accidents. During the filming of a scene on the roof of the Hôtel de la Monnaie (5th arrondissement of Paris), Camille Lou injured her knee. “I want to do as many things as possible. There, I went too far on the roof, I got a war wound. I could have knocked my teeth out but fortunately, I was well prepared”explains Camille Lou, also at Télé-Loisirs.

Claire Romain was also injured during filming, during a sequence shot, this time, at the Eiffel Tower. “We were very cold that day, it was raining and it was very windy. I slipped a bit during the first practice sessions because it was wet, then I tore myself at the start of the race. But it’s great to think that I climbed the Iron Lady!”confides to Télé-Loisirs the actress discovered in Here it all begins.

Several scenes are also planned at the Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles. Enough to amaze fans of Cat’s Eyes, but also to see the three actresses find themselves in dangerous situations.

No broadcast date has yet been communicated, but Cat’s Eyes is likely expected for fall 2024 on TF1, before being broadcast internationally on Amazon Prime Video before the end of the year.
