As his former best enemy Arnold Schwarzenegger points out, Sly’s success owes nothing to luck. Tempted to abandon the acting profession that fascinated him, Stallone finally decided to take his destiny into his own hands by writing the script himself that no producer was ready to offer him.
This scenario will be that of Rocky, and the success of the film will propel Sylvester Stallone overnight to the rank of cinema superstar. But as Quentin Tarantino, speaker of the documentary dedicated toaction hero cult, nothing could have prepared the latter for the disadvantages that resulted from this new idol status.
Now aged 77, Sylvester Stallone takes a lucid look at his journey in this new Netflix production. Ready to take full responsibility for his failures, the latter reveals in particular that the sacrifice of his family life for the benefit of his career is at the top of his greatest regrets.
