It’s what we call a miraculous rescue, just like the passengers of flight 828 who returned after 5 years of absence: Netflix decided last year to save Manifest from cancellation and to buy back the rights from NBC. A choice that was not trivial since the series has met with enormous success on the platform.

And if there is an actor who has had a bad experience of this cancellation, it is Josh Dallas. The actor who has been camping Ben Stone since 2018 said to himself “devastated“by this announcement in an interview given to The Hollywood Reporter, even”if he kept hope“: “Season 3 ended in such a horrible way. And the idea that it was going to end on that, that we were going to leave the characters with that, it was inconceivable. I was inconsolable, but I held out hope that it wasn’t over.

And he was right to believe it, since Manifest was at the top of the most viewed programs on the platform worldwide when it arrived, even in France where many subscribers were able to catch up with it after having missed it on TF1.

This season 4 will consist of 20 episodes, divided into two parts. The first salvo will be available from November 4 and will resume two years after the death of one of the characters and the disappearance of Ben’s two children.

Josh Dallas will also change hats for an episode (the 7th), which he will direct. A privilege to which Melissa Roxburgh (Michaela) has already been entitled.
