“I had trouble walking”: Kev Adams talks about the after-effects of his operation: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

On January 13, 2024, Kev Adams took the floor to announce bad news: he had to undergo emergency surgery in a hospital in Cannes when he had to go to the Alpe d’Huez Festival to present the second part of Retirement home. At the age of 32, Kev Adams revealed that he was touched by a “slight health problem”. If he was able to benefit from a nursing staff “exceptional”, he had left the establishment “mega weak”. Two days later, it was thanks to his desire to connect with his audience that he found the strength to go to the Alpe d’Huez Festival. The opportunity for him to clarify his problem: appendicitis “which got worse at the start of peritonitis“. “Joy takes over post-operation pain. The doctors told me on Sunday that it would be impossible but, like a slightly strange goal, I said to myself: ‘I have to go, I have to go’. It’s so proud, so much happiness to be here“, he confirmed. Even if his morale was high, Kev Adams admitted to doing “very careful to [s]are dressings” And “[s]”medications three times a day” : “I’m full of medication, but it was unthinkable for me to miss Alpe d’Huez.”

Kev Adams: “People don’t realize”

Friday February 9, 2024, on the show C to you, broadcast on France 5, Kev Adams once again looked into the health concerns that affected him at the start of the year. He notably revealed his difficulty in getting back into shape: “I had appendicitis surgery three weeks ago, it went very well, but it’s true that I was hallucinating. […] Sometimes, I had difficulty walking after the operation. I say, ‘I’m sorry. I apologize. I’m a little sore… If you don’t mind, can we do it another day?’. They tell me: ‘Of course, I understand. But shall we take the photo?’ Actually, people don’t realize sometimes that we can be a little worse. And at the same time, it would be almost pretentious on our part to ask them to realize“. A nice way to confirm how much he cherishes his relationship with his audience.
