“I have a lot of stage fright”, in a panic, a candidate has to skip her turn when she passes

This Saturday, March 30, 2024, the last blind auditions took place in the show The Voice 2024. The opportunity for Zazie, Big Flo and Oli, Mika and even Vianney to land their latest talents.

This Saturday evening, the blind auditions were full of emotion. During the singing show broadcast on the TF1 channel, viewers were able to discover Ella, 16 years old, from Mauritius. But the young girl’s performance did not go as planned.

The Voice 2024: at only 16 years old, she panics before going on stage

When it was time to go on stage, a surge of panic invaded Ella, who changed the order in which the candidates appeared. Indeed, before her appearance on the stage of The Voice, the young woman confided. “I’m very scared, I’m very, very scared because I get stressed quite easily, I get a lot of stage fright, it’s quite toxic,” she said shortly before her visit. “Ella breathe, please breathe, okay you really need to breathe and it’s by breathing that you’re going to get better.”then declared a member of the production present alongside the young woman.

But, when she went on stage, after asking her if she was feeling well, Ella then replied that she was not. The member of the show’s production therefore made the decision that the young woman would skip a turn so that she would not go on stage. “eyes full of tears”.

A performance marked by stress

Unfortunately, no chairs turned around before Ella finished her performance on The Voice stage. While the young girl, only 16 years old, collapsed at the end of her time marked by anxiety, several personalities came to console her, notably Vianney and Mika.

“You sang very well”Mika then began, before adding: “We are at the end of this adventure and that means that everything is coming together, it’s always complicated (…) your performance was superb, this song is very beautiful but perhaps with the stage fright perhaps with this experience you stayed in your safe zone and it was very pretty, very young, very charming”. Before justifying the coaches’ choice not to turn around by a lack of risk-taking by the young woman. “A small gesture with this sublime musical and vocal base that you have and I promise you that there would be at least 1, 2, 3 maybe even 4 chairs turned over”.
