On the move this Tuesday in Châtenois (Alsace), Emmanuel Macron was insulted by a man who came to meet him. “I have never seen a president of the Fifth Republic as bad as you,” he told him.
The tough exchange was captured on CNEWS’ camera. The Head of State, in the running for a second term, first chose to use irony to respond to his interlocutor. “Sir, thank you for having plenty of arguments to put on the table,” he said.
Just before this passage of the dialogue undertaken between the two men, the tension was already at its maximum, giving this sequence a rather striking character. “You are Machiavellian, manipulative and a liar (…). You murdered the hospital,” said the individual under some boos emitted by the crowd. A spade that made Emmanuel Macron react. “But you are crazy!” he said.

The conversation ended in a still tense tone. “I will never vote for you with all the pans you drag behind you, especially the Benalla affair,” said the man. “These are not arguments, these are things that go in all directions (…). You are confusing a lot of things, ”retorted Emmanuel Macron before taking his leave.
The LREM candidate spent the day in Alsace, where he also met caregivers in Mulhouse to whom he defended the social aspect of his program.
