Bestseller before becoming a series, Daisy Jones and The Six chronicles the rise and fall of a great rock band in the seventies. Acclaimed by a community of fans, this adaptation, like the book from which it is taken, tells the story of this group through fake interviews of the different members to better blur reality and fiction.
Of course, Daisy Jones and The Six are not a real group, but the author of the novel, Taylor Jenkins Reid, was inspired by the Fleetwood Macs to write the books of her success. The love story around the leader of the fake group, Daisy Jones, with her stage partner, Billy Dunne, refers directly to that which linked Stevie Nicks, singer of the Fleetwood Mac, and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.
Since the publication of the book in 2019, the members of the group have remained rather silent. But since the release of the series, difficult to miss the phenomenon. On his official Instagram accountStevie Nicks finally expressed herself on this adaptation, thus confirming to have recognized herself a lot in this story which has nothing of a biopic.
“I just finished Daisy Jones and The Six for the second time. At first it wasn’t really my story, but Riley [Riley Keough, l’actrice qui incarne le rôle-titre, ndlr] quickly became my story. It brought back memories so well that I felt like a ghost watching my own story.”

In the comments of this publication, many actors responded to this message as well as Reese Witherspoon, producer of the series. Stevie Nicks hopes the series will continue, yet nothing is less certain. Initially, Daisy Jones and The Six was thought of as a mini-series, but its success and the singer’s playful return could certainly change some opinions.
