The classic horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997) is returning as a series version. Amazon Studios has placed the order for series development, as the company announced on Thursday (October 15). The modern series adaptation of the horror film retells the well-known shocking story: A year after a fatal car accident, a group of teenagers is followed by a mysterious killer on the night of their graduation.

There are three films

Like the film, the new project is based on the novel "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1973) by writer Lois Duncan (1934-216). There have already been two sequels in the cinema: "I still know what you did last summer" (1998) and "I will always know what you did last summer" (2006).

The horror film classic was nominated for several awards, it was able to prevail at the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards 1998. At that time the US stars Jennifer Love Hewitt (41, "Forbidden to fall in love") and Sarah Michelle Gellar (43, "Ice cold angels") received the awards as best actress and best supporting actress.
