“I may have had to use it”: Cédric Jubillar admits in a half-word terrible words towards Delphine

Last May, Cédric Jubillar was confronted with his former co-reliant. To the examining magistrates, he admitted having made terrible remarks about Delphine Jubillar.

It is an appointment that the relatives of Delphine Jubillar were impatiently awaiting. On May 14, Cédric Jubillar was confronted with Marco, his former fellow prisoner to whom he would have made revelations about the disappearance of the nurse. In the office of the investigating judges, the two men remained for several hours. Asked about his relationship with the mother of his two children, the plasterer admitted to having given him a terrible nickname, according to BFM TV who had access to the documents of this confrontation: “The word ‘drag’, maybe I had to use it yes”. Faced with the judges, Cédric Jubillar once again denied having anything to do with the disappearance of his wife, who has not given any sign of life since the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. “I have always maintained that I was innocent in the story. You ask me if he is lying, I answer you yes”he launched.

Asked about the knife he would have mentioned from his cell in the Toulouse-Seysses prison, Cédric Jubillar also defended himself. “I never killed Delphine, so I never used a knife for anything […] I have nothing to do with this story”, he continued. Then talk about the “farm that burned down” which Marco had spoken to the police, explaining that it could be the place where the body of Delphine Jubillar is buried. “As he was insistent on knowing where I put the body, I said jokingly that I put it near the farmhouse which burned down that’s all. That’s the only real thing, the rest is lies, assured the plasterer, still the main suspect in this case. This Monday, July 4, justice confirmed his continued detention, as requested by the Advocate General.

Delphine Jubillar: this cemetery which challenges the investigators

Emmanuelle Franck, one of Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers, denounced “the stubbornness of justice that can only lead to disaster”. On June 13, the judge of freedoms and detention (JLD) extended the detention of the main suspect by six months, indicted since June 18, 2021. In parallel, the search to find the body of Delphine Jubillar continues in the Gard. After lingering near a farm, investigators are now focusing on a cemetery. “The excavation of the tombs of the cemetery of Saint-Dalmaze is part of the future objectives of the magistrates and the investigators, indicated a source close to the file in the columns of Parisian. But it will probably be necessary to proceed in stages and first of all to limit research to the vaults which seem to have been the subject of fairly recent manipulations.
