Eddy Mitchell will never forget his friend Johnny Hallyday. The singer once again paid a fine tribute to the Taulier.

Eddy Mitchell will never forget his friend. Deceased in December 2017, Johnny Hallyday left behind the interpreter of Couleur mint à l’eau who does not hesitate to mention his friendship with the Taulier. On July 31, 2022, Eddy Mitchell paid a new tribute to the husband of Laeticia Hallyday: “Godfather of my daughter Pamela and I of hers, Laura, I have always considered Johnny as a member of my family and I often think of him”he confides.

This interview was also an opportunity for Eddy Mitchell to come back to his meeting with Johnny Hallyday. And one thing is sure, it did not start under the best auspices : “This link goes back to our tender adolescence towards the end of the 1950s and yet it started badly Invited to a surprise party, near the Place de la Trinité, where everyone is asked to bring their records, I take with me some precious 45-rpm, carefully sorted”, he declared. But not everything will go as planned: the singer will no longer find his records: “Very upset, I run down the stairs of the building, thinking maybe I saw my thief running”.

Eddy Michell: “I was lucky to have a friend with whom I shared 59 years of friendship”

He then finds himself in front of Johnny Hallyday: “Immediately I throw myself on my belongings and slap my thief (well deserved) in the face. He profusely apologizes and goes on to the fact that he is also a rock & roll fan, which is far from common that time”. Since that day, the two friends have never left each other. A friendship that still lasts, even beyond death. “I was lucky to have a friend with whom I shared 59 years of friendship. I imagine that this kind of relationship is quite rare whatever the profession and the course of each”. A beautiful tribute.
