From Monday 31 JanuaryCamille Lou, Hugo Becker, Marilou Berry, Guillaume Labbé and Narcisse Mame once again embody the members of the Gallo family. A second season which will be full of twistsas revealed by Marilou Berry in the columns of TV 7 Days this Monday, January 24. “This start to the season is going to be very eventful for Maud and Tanguy“, she first explained. The reason? “In the first season, it was necessary to present the characters, to settle this family and its problems. This time, everyone takes off, and we discover a little more who they are, independently of each other.“, she rejoiced. Subsequently, the actress indicated that it is a “series that talks about people on whom we can project a lot of preconceived ideas. Typically, Michaël is, a priori, a big idiot of a footballer. But, gradually, we will discover that it is not“, she assured. Indeed, according to her words, it is “made up of different layers, and if you take the time to linger, it becomes endearing”. For Marilou Berry, the strength of this series is simple: “We think we have identified a character and we are taken elsewhere to show us that we have screwed up. It’s strong !“, she concluded.
She is proud. In I promise you, the actress embodies the role of Maud Gallo. “It takes time for her to gain confidence but, little by little, she spreads her wings“, she claimed. “She wasted time dealing with her brother’s career and forgot herself for too long“, she continues before explaining to be different from her character. “Even though she and I are the same age, we are not at the same point in our lives at all. I am less curious, I love taking up challenges and unlike her, I have mourned my father“, declares Marilou Berry. Indeed, if the actress was able to mourn Philippe Berry, who died of a heart attack in 2019, this is not the case for her character and these sequences are not always obvious to her.”Moreover, it has not always been easy for me to dive back into this period of my life to draw emotions to play on the screen.“, she recalled before adding: “It’s like I’m stepping back. Nevertheless, Maud remains a character that I particularly like. And then, we see so little fat on television or in the cinema“, she concluded.
Marilou Berry: why did she go behind the camera?
For this second season, Marilou Berry co-directed certain episodes. “It was the production that made me this proposal and it was good, I wanted to get more involved”, she asserted. According to her, it is aextension of my profession as an actress. Participating in giving birth to a project that basically only exists on a piece of paper fascinates me. Having a look at the sets, the costumes, the direction of the actors, it’s magnificent“, she concluded, delighted to have been able to have this experience.
