Emmanuel Macron played a football match for the Yellow Pieces with the Variété Club de France at Plaisir in Yvelines. His team won the match 5-2. Thanks to this gala meeting, 57,500 euros were raised.

Two and a half years after his last match with the Variétés Club de France, the President of the Republic returned to the Plaisir pitch in Yvelines for a match for the benefit of the Yellow Pieces. Europe 1 attended this gala match with a great line-up of football stars and a superb atmosphere.
The Variétés Club de France team, in which the President of the Republic played, beat Arsène Wenger’s team 5-2. Robert Pires scored a hat-trick and Rudi Garcia also scored. Samuel Eto’o scored the first goal of the match and Jacques Vendroux, who was in goal, could do nothing. The President of the Republic, of course, who played in white with his number three, put in a solid performance, well helped by Didier Deschamps who accompanied him in midfield.
