Day after day, Elon Musk is making cringe-inducing changes to Twitter. An application and extension for browser proposes to personalize the experience of the social network, and come to correct a certain number of outrageous changes.
Since the takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk, not a week goes by without a twist. Over the mood swings or whims of the billionaire, the social network evolves with significant changes, including its interface and the presentation of information. A la carte Twitter
This open source extension is available on the most important browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari. It is even possible to install it on iPhone and iPad through a paid application to integrate with the mobile version of Safari.
Upon installation, you regain control of your Twitter experience. You find the icon with the blue bird, you can deactivate the timeline “for you” or identify subscribers to Twitter Blue.
In the settings of the extension, it is possible to adjust everything quite finely. In particular, the display of certain functions, such as the list of trends, can be deactivated. What also more easily avoid the pangs of Twitter and its tendency to bring out content to arouse reaction or emotion.
Find a Twitter that goes to the essentials
Unfortunately the power of Control Panel has limits. The extension cannot modify the official Twitter application on smartphones. It will absolutely be necessary to adopt the website as the only solution to use the service, even on mobile.
By activating most of the options to clean up the functions that are deemed unnecessary, it is possible to obtain a very light interface for Twitter that goes to the essentials, the simple flow of your subscriptions and your lists.
For me, it is now simply a must-have that I recommend to all Twitter users.
