A few hours after the funeral of the Bogdanoff brothers, Julien Lepers was on the Touche plateau not at my post, Monday January 10, 2022. He returned with emotion to the last farewell to the two scientists.
Julien Lepers knew very well Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff. Like many people, he was particularly saddened to learn of their death, six days apart, as a result of Covid-19. He was one of the many personalities to have gone to the Church of the Madeleine to attend their funeral on Monday January 10, 2022. A few hours later, he was on the set of Do not touch My TV to react to this particularly difficult moment. He assured that he was very sad. “I still have a heavy heart“, declared Julien Lepers, obviously still very moved. He needed to be present to accompany them on their last trip.
“When we got to know them as well as you and me – we did a lot of shows together -, the least we could do was to be there and think of them“, said the former presenter of Questions for a champion before continuing : “I regret, during their lifetime, not having told them enough that we loved them“. After viewing some pictures of the ceremony, he said he had tears at the edge of his eyes.”It’s very, very hard when you’ve got to know them well. And then that they leave together, six days apart, it’s incredible …“
Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff leave behind a battered family
Indeed, Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff died six days apart between December 28, 2021 and January 3, 2022. They had both been hospitalized, then placed in intensive care, while suffering from a severe form of Covid-19. Despite their thirst for life, the disease will have taken over. Despite the treatment and the best efforts of the caregivers, they succumbed, leaving their families in the distress of having lost them almost at the same time. They will always have done everything together and together.
