“I think I’m strong enough”: one year after his terrible accident, Jeremy Renner makes an astonishing announcement

Invited on the CNN set during New Year’s Eve, American actor Jeremy Renner declared that he intended to resume all his projects in 2024, after his long convalescence.

Almost a year ago to the day, Jeremy Renner was the victim of a terrible accident. While trying to save his nephew, the actor was run over by a snowplow in front of his home.

The Hawkeye singer suffered around 30 broken bones and had to undergo two surgeries. What followed was a year of convalescence where he was unable to appear on TV sets.

This unfortunate accident notably impacted the filming of his series Mayor of Kingstown (available in France on Paramount+), in which he plays the main role. This family drama follows the McClusky family, in a small Michigan town that survives thanks to the local prison and the police and criminal life that reigns around the penitentiary center.

Season 3 was made official in May and the producers were only waiting for the return of its actor to start filming.

In interview given to CNNJeremy Renner announced that he would return to service at the start of the year: “I think I’m ready, I think I’m strong enough. We’ll see. We’re shooting in a week. I will do my best.”

In any case, the former Avenger was not idle during his break. And it was not in front of a camera but behind a microphone that Jeremy Renner tried to heal his psychological wounds.

He actually took advantage of his time on the television set to unveil the first song from his future album (yes, he sings), the lyrics of which were greatly inspired by the events he experienced in 2023.

Titled Love and Titanium (Amour et Titane), his first opus will be released in 2024. His first single can be listened to here in the player above.
