Wednesday April 20, 2022, Louis Bertignac granted an interview to Paris Match. During it, the musician spoke of the relationship he had with Corine Marienneau in the 1970s.
A story that goes back more than fifty years! In the 1970s, Louis Bertignac and Corine Marienneau lived a love story. In an interview given to Paris Matchthe musician recalled: “When I met her, she had something other girls didn’t: she wanted to be my friend and held my hand. And I had never known that, I was finally thinking of something other than sex. That’s why I was in love with her so long, before she wanted to date me. She was a rigorous woman, with principles. We were all four terribly complementary. And living a love story in the midst of such intense success was really special.“However, Louis Bertignac left the young woman in 1980, who then tried to commit suicide. Then, the artist wrote: “She was an obstacle to my freedom.“Today, the latter analyzed:”Ah, at the level of the other girls, it was obvious. I too was jealous. If she had gone out with other guys, I wouldn’t have liked it.“
Following their separation, Corine Marienneau consoled herself in the arms of Jean-Louis Aubert. Looking back, Louis Bertignac revealed: “Jean-Louis was very classy when talking to me about it. But yes, it wasn’t easy, especially since we continued to make music together. I had admitted that it was the only solution for the break between Corine and me to be final.“Very shy, the musician then made trash secrets about his relationship with his ex.”I needed drugs to have confidence in myself.
