Former TV host Thierry Beccaro will be the star of “I was born at 17”, a France 2 fiction adapted from his autobiographical novel published in 2019 which will look back on his past as a beaten child.

One of the most popular animators of the PAF will soon sign his big return to France 2. The channel has just announced the start of filming of a new unit entitled I was born at 17, adapted from the autobiographical novel written by Thierry Beccaro with the help of Jean-Philippe Zapp and published in 2019. For the occasion, the former host of “Motus” and “Télématin” will return to La Deux to play his own role.

Directed by Julien Seri (Munch) and written by François Olivier Rousseau, I was born at 17 follows Thierry, a former beaten child, who managed to build himself despite the violence he suffered. But childhood traumas are still present, generating anxiety and a perpetual lack of self-confidence.

The announcement of the imminent death of the father guilty of the brutality, and with whom Thierry has broken off all relations, sounds the hour of reckoning. The time has come for him to put his memory and his feelings in order.

Thierry Beccaro’s father will be played by Moïse Santamaria, known by France 2 viewers for his role as Manu in Un Si Grand Soleil. Elsa Lunghini (Here it all begins) will also be part of the cast. Jules Morlon and Pierre Azarello will camp Thierry at different ages of his life and Anne Loiret will lend her features to the aunt of the former animator.

The fiction, produced by Eric Dionysius for Daigoro Films and Benjamin Lanlard for La Fabrique, will be filming until August 16 in Lille and its region.
