“I was not aware of death”: this traumatic accident that Laurent Boyer survived: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

It is a real tragedy which caused the death of two people, the producer Dominique Pizzi and his driver Ayoub, and which marked Laurent Boyer forever: during a rainy night in April 2015, the passengers of the black Mercedes in which the TV and radio host was all victims of a terrible accident on the A11 motorway. An accident occurred while the ex-companion of the singer Alice Dona was returning from filming on the show Frequentstar and on which he returned Tuesday March 26, 2024 on the set of It starts today. “We are overtaking a semi-trailer and there was a car that had overturned in the middle lane (…). The car was blocking two lanes. In fact, what is the driver doing, Ayoub? Pulling the wheel to make a fishtail to the semi-trailer”, explains Laurent Boyer to Faustine Bollaert. The vehicle he was in then suddenly left the road, hit the safety barrier, then ended up in the ditch after rolling over several times.

Laurent Boyer: “I got out of this car alone”

The host, a true miracle who was saved by his seat belt, still managed to get out of the car completely “crushed” by the shock. The driver and his passenger lost their lives that day. “I got out of that car alone. (…) I stank of gasoline, the tank burst (…) I was just scared, I said to myself: ‘If it burns… If there is ever a spark…’ I was covered in gasoline”he also says in front of the images of the accident. For this special issue of It starts todayLaurent Boyer also returned to this moment when he managed to extricate himself from the car, despite his injuries, and to stand up to go see the other passengers. “I go to the front of the car, to see Dominique Pizzi, who was in the passenger seat, and Ayoub, who was at the wheel, and there, to tell you the truth… They couldn’t answer me”, he remembered, very moved. And to confide: “They couldn’t answer me and, at the same time, I wasn’t aware of it because I kept talking to them. I wasn’t aware of death.” A difficult memory for Laurent Boyer.
