“I have always been fascinated by the world of beauty. As soon as I was old enough, I accumulated odd jobs, math lessons and babysitting, to be able to afford overpriced Sisley creams. With my girlfriends, we went to Sephora almost every night, it was almost pathological. I went to business school, but finance and marketing didn’t really appeal to me, and when I got out, I didn’t know what to do.

My mother, knowing my obsession, encouraged me to do an internship in the sector, in the beauty department of Bon Marché. It was a revelation. I confirmed my passion, discovered the field and realized at the same time that, in this market saturated by giants, there are customers who are tired of always finding the same brands, frustrated by the lack of advice and transparency, and who wanted to consume differently, more intelligently.

Two years later, in 2012, I decided to launch my box, Oh My Cream! – a concept store where I myself would like to go, which is a change from the too often biased world of beauty products. Initially, our goal was to curate the best cosmetic brands, both cleaner and more effective, and to advise them as best as possible. Since then, we have opened around twenty points of sale, and five years ago we launched our own line. Its vocation is to offer the essentials, the good basics at an affordable price.

For me, beauty and cooking are part of a whole: it’s about taking care of yourself, outside and inside, while taking care of the world around you. This necessarily comes from my mother, a doctor, whom I have always seen “taking care of her”, in the broad sense. For her, that meant spending time in the bathroom more for facials than putting on makeup.

But it also meant making a good detox vegetable broth twice a week, cooking with little fat, never buying industrial meals, preparing homemade recipes based on seasonal products… My mother is not an organic bobo, it was just a precursor on the health and well-being side, “what happens inside is reflected outside”. These are the values ​​she passed on to me.

She taught me the taste for simple and healthy things, which can be prepared quickly so that I never have to skip it. At home, it was a great mix of cultures: my mother, of Alsatian origin, my father, from a Pied-noir family, with couscous, meatballs and oriental pastries on weekends…

From him, I inherited the sense of conviviality, large tables and shared dishes. But, on a daily basis, I prepare healthy things like my mother always did, such as this tasty quinoa salad inspired by the blog “Papilles & pupils”, which I adapt according to the seasons, winter with pomegranate and spinach, which almost becomes a Greek salad in the summer. »
