(CercleFinance.com) – IAG, the parent company of British Airways, Iberia and Vueling, announced on Friday the conversion into firm orders of options announced in September 2022 relating to 10 Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2028, are intended to replace the airline’s existing A320ceo fleet.
“These latest-generation devices are more economical and less fuel-intensive than those they are set to replace, which will help us meet our goal of net zero emissions by 2050”, explained Luis Gallego, CEO of IAG, in a press release.
