Iberdrola: strengthens its presence in Poland


(CercleFinance.com) – Iberdrola strengthens its commitment to renewable energies in Poland with the award to Vestas of a new contract for the supply and installation of turbines for the Korytnica II wind farm.

The 50.4 megawatt (MW) project, located in Mazowieckie province, northeast of Warsaw, will include 14 wind turbines.

With the commissioning of Korytnica II, scheduled for early 2023, Iberdrola’s onshore wind capacity in Poland will reach 163 MW, including the already operational Korytnica I (82.5 MW) and Zopowy (30 MW) wind farms.

Iberdrola is also developing a portfolio of offshore wind projects in Poland which includes seven projects with a potential capacity of up to 7,300 MW.
