(AOF) – La Foncière Santé d’Icade has acquired 100% of the securities of a Portuguese real estate investment fund holding a prime portfolio of four private hospitals in Portugal for an amount of € 213 million including transfer duties. With this transaction, Foncière Santé d’Icade is investing for the first time in the Portuguese healthcare real estate market, “a market with solid fundamentals and driven by favorable long-term demographic trends”, writes the French group.
“Icade Santé will also be able to benefit from the consolidation underway in Portugal of the private hospitalization sector”, he adds.
After the acquisition in December of private hospitals in Italy for 85 million euros, Icade Santé is continuing its international investments for short stays and consolidating its growth strategy in the euro zone.
