Defending champion Red Bull Salzburg celebrated a 4-3 win against HCB Südtirol on Sunday evening despite being 3-0 down and is leading 2-1 in the semi-final series. The KAC already has one foot in the final. The Klagenfurt team defeated HC Pustertal 3-1 and took a 3-0 lead in the series.
In Klagenfurt, Manuel Ganahl gave the Red Jackets the lead in the first power play (3rd). In the middle of the final third, the outsider from South Tyrol also managed to equalize on the power play through Alex Petan (49th), but the Carinthians quickly countered.
