The Rouen Dragons return to Grenoble. The hockey players managed to equalize the series against Grenoble in the Magnus League final. In a 3rd game played late, the Rouennais got the better of the Grenoble (6-5). They thus return to 2 rounds everywhere in this final.

After losing the first two matches of the final of the Magnus Ice Hockey League, Rouen came back to match Grenoble 2 to 2 thanks to their success 6 to 5 (3-3, 3-1, 0-1) on his ice rink on Ile Lacroix on Monday. Rouen had however started the meeting badly: the Dragons were led 3-1, before returning to 3-3 before the end of the first period. They then took off with three goals in the second half to lead 6-4, before reigning champions Grenoble kept the hope alive with a final goal.

Four of Grenoble’s five goals were scored by Canadian winger Brent Aubin. This meeting, the 3rd of the final, had started on Saturday before being interrupted due to an ice problem on the ice rink, postponed to Monday and replayed in its entirety as stipulated in the regulations of the French Federation of ice hockey .

On Sunday, Rouen had won match number 4 in front of their home crowd in overtime (5-4). The final, which is played as the best of seven matches, continues on Wednesday in Grenoble. Rouen is the second most successful club in the history of French ice hockey, with 16 coronations, the last in 2021. Grenoble’s Brûleurs de Loup have won eight.
