The Ice Hockey World Championship 2022 is the 85th world championship tournament that is currently being held under the umbrella of the IIHF (“International Ice Hockey Federation”). The World Cup started on Friday, May 13th. The final will take place on May 29, 2022. It will be played in Tampere and Helsinki in Finland. The quarterfinals will be played from Thursday 26th May, with the semifinals on Saturday 28th May.
In the quarter-finals, the best-placed teams from each season compete against each other. Four nations qualify from each group, with the first playing against the fourth and the second against the third from the other group.
