  • DEB and Telekom extend and expand their partnership.
  • The deal also includes the Men’s Ice Hockey World Championships.
  • The ice hockey Bundesliga DEL is also part of the offer anyway

With the new TV rights contract between Magenta Sport and DEB, Telekom can once again expand its ice hockey offering. The deal, which is now valid until 2028, now also includes the women’s world championships and the men’s U18 team.

Arnim Butzen, head of TV at Deutsche Telekom, therefore emphasizes: “For the first time, a provider is showing the games of the women’s national team and the youth section at major tournaments on a regular basis.” The most important part, however, the international matches of the men’s national team, is of course also part of the agreement. Because if you are an ice hockey fan, you should know that from May 12th to 28th the Men’s World Championships will take place in Finland and Latvia. The women’s event will take place in Canada on April 17th and the U18 World Cup in Switzerland from April 20th to 30th.

World Cup and preparation will be extensively broadcast live

All German games and the final of the Women’s World Cup are available live, exclusively and free of charge at MagentaSport. The same applies to the seven men’s World Cup preparation international matches between April 13 and May 9. For the World Cup itself, the TV rights package includes 15 games including all German games, all knockout games and a conference in the quarter-finals. However, a subscription to MagentaSport or MagentaTV is required to be able to watch it live.

Also interesting…

Anyone who is already a customer of Telekom TV offers can also follow the current playoff phase in the DEL ice hockey Bundesliga live there.
