Recruitment advertisements are a wealth of extraordinary information. This time we can learn a little more about the future projects of Id Software and it smells like the devil.
There are always curious little ones to search for information on recruitment within the studios. This is how the Twitter account Xbox Worlds spotted a job offer on the site of ZeniMax, the publisher of id Software.
A fairly clear announcement on DOOM?
Difficult to make more obvious since the publisher is looking for people with a deep knowledge of Id games and particularly DOOM and DOOM Eternal. Further upstream, we note that the position is for Combat Designer. id Software explains that it is looking for imaginative and competent Combat Designers for the “next AAA FPS that will serve as a benchmark for the industry” (beautiful ankles).
FPS but not only
A paragraph, however, leaves one wondering since the ad talks about the obligation to know the gameplay of action games, at the first and at the third person. Do we imagine DOOM in TPS view or is it only about certain specific phases? (Cinematics, vehicles, ec).
Some rumors may also suggest a new Quake in the form of a remake / reboot with why not modernized gameplay like DOOM 2016. Everything is possible even if a real sequel to DOOM Eternal probably seems more plausible.
