What is this PC screen?
The LG UltraWide is 29 inches in size, or almost 74 cm diagonal. It is therefore an imposing model which can take up a lot of space on a desk. Its 21:9 format and thin borders offer great immersion, ideal for immersing yourself in your work, or in a game during your lunch breaks. It features an IPS panel with a UWQHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,080 pixels. The image is of quality, with good contrast and bright colors. HDR10 is present, for a great level of detail.
Its panel allows a very large display surface, ideal for professional use. You can place several documents or tables side by side, and personalize your workspace by dividing the screen. For added comfort, Flicker Safe technology reduces flickering, while Reading Mode creates tints with an intensity close to paper.
Is this monitor worth it during the sales?
It’s not the best screen on the market, but its price of less than €180 and its good versatility make it a good model on sale. Even if it is mainly designed for office automation, gamers will benefit from a panel with a refresh rate of 100 Hz and a response time of 5 ms. It’s certainly not at the level of some gaming monitors, but the gaming experience is there, especially with the immersion that the monitor offers.
Dynamic Action Sync and AMD FreeSync technologies improve fluidity and limit screen tearing. In terms of connectivity, the LG UltraWide comes with an HDMI port, a USB-C port, a DisplayPort, and a headphone output. Finally, the stereo speakers of 7W each provide decent sound.
