IFA 2022 – Dreame wants to forget about cleaning floors with its new L10s Ultra robot vacuum cleaner

Dreame is also present at the IFA in Berlin. Among the novelties, the Chinese manufacturer presents the L10s, a floor cleaning robot vacuum cleaner. In its Ultra version, it comes with its docking station, which it uses to empty its dust bin and clean its mops.

As a flooring specialist, Dreame is presenting several new products at the IFA in Berlin. The H12 has already been reviewed by us in a dedicated article. It is now the turn of the L10s Ultra and L10s Pro to be inspected from every angle.

The “Ultra” version is the most advanced: the robot comes with a very complete docking station. With this device, Dreame wants to completely relieve the user of the chore of cleaning the floors, and this for 60 days, according to the manufacturer. Indeed, if the robot vacuums and washes the surfaces, it also takes care of several maintenance tasks. He thus automatically empties his 350 ml dust collector, moistens his mops alone, rinses them, cleans them and dries them. In short, a robot to do everything!

The station of the L10s Ultra includes two water tanks — one for clean water and one for dirty water — of 2.5 l each. Detergent cartridges can also be added. The main difference with the previous model, the Dreame W10, is the presence of a 3 l dust bag. The L10s Ultra can therefore automatically empty its collector. The robot intends to compete with models such as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni or the Roidmi Eva.

How the pricing table works

To compete with the most efficient devices on the market, Dreame has equipped its robot with the best technologies. The L10s Ultra maps its surroundings and recognizes obstacles using a laser rangefinder, front camera and artificial intelligence. The latter helps the robot to optimize its movements so that it can cover surfaces perfectly without wasting time.

The suction power of the Dreame L10s reaches 5300 Pa, where the W10 was content with 4000 Pa. To pick up dust as well as possible, the Chinese manufacturer opts this time for a brush made entirely of rubber – abandoning the nylon bristles – as well than a side brush. On the washing side, the robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with two rotating mops performing 180 revolutions per minute. They are removable and can go in the washing machine. But above all, they rise when the robot encounters a carpet.

The dust bag is concealed in the bottom of the docking station.

Other features, found on the majority of robot vacuum cleaners, are available on the Dreame (or Mi Home) application. The user can thus adjust the suction mode and the quantity of water released on the floor. The robot can clean the whole house, a room or even a single defined area; conversely, it can avoid certain predefined places. The multi-floor option, often very popular with users, is also available via the mobile app. In addition, thanks to its front camera, the user can decide to monitor what is happening at home in his absence by taking control of the robot. Finally, the L10s is compatible with Google voice assistants, Alexa and Siri.

The “Pro” version forgets about the docking station. The robot also ignores artificial intelligence and relies on 3D lasers to map the environment.

The L10s Ultra is offered by Dreame at €1199 and the L10s Pro at €599.
