The eufyCam S330 is one of the best outdoor cameras in our comparison, thanks in particular to its excellent performance. Its battery and solar panel obviously have something to do with it, since they obviously simplify installation and charging. If you are at least a handyman and pulling electrical cables does not scare you, be aware that during the IFA an equivalent wired model is presented, and logically a little more affordable: the eufyCam E330.
Equivalent, but not similar, this new reference comes in a cylindrical case. We also logically expect it to be a little lighter in the absence of a battery, but the components seem otherwise identical: 8 Mpx sensor capable of delivering 4K images, ultra-wide-angle optics offering a viewing angle of 130°, vision infrared and flash for the night… Functionality is also the same, except that the eufyCam E330 does not need to save power and can record continuously if the user wishes and not only when detected. Like the other model, this one works with the HomeBase 3 and its Bionic Mind artificial intelligence which notably allows facial recognition and does not hesitate to ask the user to improve. The HomeBase 3 also includes a siren as well as a slot for a hard drive or SSD up to 16 TB, and centralizes the images from all the cameras if several are installed.
The eufyCam E330 should also only be sold in batches of two or four cameras. Since the HomeBase 3 is essential for its operation, it is also included in these packs. It will of course also be possible to buy the eufyCam E330 on its own, but only as an additional camera (add-on). Without HomeBase at home, you will have to opt for a pack. For now, only the price of the one with four cameras has been communicated. It should be available from this month of September at the recommended retail price of €649. The same pack with eufyCam S330 is offered at €899, but remember that there is also a eufyCam S300, on battery but without solar panel, available in an equivalent pack for €699.
