Roborock has not been idle on this IFA 2023 during which the manufacturer presented its very first washer-dryer as well as two mid-range robot vacuum cleaners. To complete its catalog, Roborock adds a floor vacuum cleaner: the Dyad Pro Combo. This “5-in-1” cleaning solution comes as a package. On one side there is the classic broom vacuum cleaner dedicated to vacuuming dust on all surfaces, on the other the floor scrubber which has the same specificities as a Dyad Pro. Clearly, the user can use the same motor unit to convert the Dyad Pro into a vacuum cleaner or a floor scrubber.

Identical in all respects to the Dyad Pro, this new model has a suction power of 17,000 Pa and includes the washing head which allows better cleaning along the baseboards. The mop keeps its three rollers, its two water tanks (dirty and clean) and adds a tank for cleaning solution. The automatic mode, which allows to adapt the cleaning power, the water flow and the capacity to automatically dispense the cleaning solution, are again in the game as well as the drying system of the rollers from the docking station . We can therefore expect them to provide the same washing performance as the Dyad Pro, which we found to be excellent after its visit to the lab.

The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo should provide the same washing performance as the Dyad Pro.

On the Dyad Pro Combo screen, the user will be able to determine the cleaning mode, take a look at the autonomy and obtain information related to the maintenance of the device. Note that this is only valid in floor scrubber mode and all screen-related functionality disappears in single vacuum mode.

On the autonomy side, Roborock promises an autonomy of up to 43 min in the scrubber version (but our tests of the Dyad Pro revealed an actual autonomy of 26 min and 40 s) and 60 min as a handheld vacuum cleaner. It will be necessary to see in the lab what will be the autonomy of the Dyad Pro Combo in vacuum mode with the motorized brush.

The Dyad Pro Combo comes with a range of brushes: there is a motorized mini-brush for sofas, carpets or car seats, a nozzle for nooks and angles and a soft mini-brush.

Dyson and Kobold in the crosshairs

For some time now, the versatility of its machines dedicated to floor maintenance has become a new trend. Kobold was one of the first to offer this kind of solution with its vacuum cleaner, which also inspired Dyson which, with its V15 Detect Submarine, created a surprise last spring. Like robot vacuum cleaners, stick vacuum cleaners are also gaining functionality and becoming more and more complete.

The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo will be available in October for €699. It’s almost half the price of Kobold’s solution and €250 less than the Dyson V15 Detect Submarine.
