Prince Harry is friends with polo player Ignacio Figueras. He has now raved about the royal in an interview.

In his new home in California, Prince Harry (37) spends a lot of time playing polo. He has found the perfect partner in his longtime friend Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras (45): The two have been playing together for the Los Padres team at the Santa Barbara Polo Club for a few months and have just competed at the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup in Aspen, Colorado. on.

In an interview with “People” magazine The 45-year-old polo player Figueras is now enthusiastic about his royal friend and his family: “My wife Delfi and I have known Harry for many years. Duchess Meghan (41) also seems to have found a new friend in Figueras’ wife Delfina Blaquier (41). The Argentine recently dedicated Meghan an Instagram post, in which she referred to her as her “sister” and “polo wife”. Just before the Aspen tournament, which Meghan didn’t attend, she shared a picture together again and wrote: “M, I will miss you today.”

Nacho Figueras and Prince Harry met in 2007 at a charity polo match for Harry’s charity Sentebale, which he founded in Lesotho in 2006 in honor of his mother Princess Diana (1961-1997).

“Since day one, I’ve seen how committed he is to his organization,” explains the Argentine in the “People” interview. “Now it’s 15 years later and I’ve visited Lesotho with him several times. There I saw what a great job the organization is doing, how important it is to so many children and how much Harry cares.”

Ignacio Figueras and his wife Delfina Blaquier were also invited to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding in May 2018. The royals have two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1. Figueras and Blaquier have two daughters, Aurora (*2005) and Alba (*2013), and two sons, Hilario (*2000) and Artemio (*2010).
