Ikea: a wall bracket with wireless charger for the Symfonisk speaker/shelf

2

A rather nifty new wall-mounting bracket makes an appearance for the Ikea Symfonisk shelf/speaker.

Designed in partnership with Sonos, the Ikea Symfonisk speaker/shelf seduced us during its test at the end of 2019. Sold for around a hundred euros in stores, available in two colors (white and black), it is an accessible entrance door to the Sonos multiroom ecosystem while delivering surprisingly good sound. It also has the advantage of being able to be installed in several configurations, both vertically and horizontally, or fixed to the wall to act as a small shelf.

Which brings us to our news of the day: the marketing of a new wall bracket incorporating a side table to provide a second level of storage with a wireless charging area for mobile phones (with Qi protocol with a power of 5W).

Ideal for installing the speaker at the bedside and placing a lamp, books and telephone there for the night, with the assurance of finding your mobile with a fully charged battery the next morning. A USB-C port delivering 18 W of power is also present, useful for charging another device (or its smartphone not compatible with wireless charging). To date, this accessory for the Ikea Symfonisk speaker is displayed on Ikea’s German or Czech sites/catalogs, but not yet on the French version, which shouldn’t be long.
