With Nymåne, Ikea has just released a new product for the smart home. The dimmable LED hanging light can be integrated into the Trådfri setup and controlled via an app if required. Anthracite and white are available as color variants.
Ikea Nymåne: New LED hanging lamp presented
The range of smart lamps from Ikea has just gotten a little bigger. Well stands with the model Nymåne a new LED hanging light that can be dimmed. The light color can also be adjusted. In addition to a comfortable 2200 Kelvin, 2700 Kelvin (warm white) and 4000 Kelvin (neutral white) are also available as options. An LED bulb is included in the scope of delivery and can be replaced.
If necessary, the lamp integrated into an existing Trådfri setup and can be controlled remotely using an app under iOS or Android. As usual, customers have to obtain a suitable Trådfri gateway themselves.
When it comes to the colors of the LED hanging light, customers can choose between a white and an anthracite variant. According to Ikea, its own Klang lamp from the 1960s modeled at Nymåne. The task for the designers was “to give her a modern look that goes well with the series”.
The shade of the hanging lamp made of powder-coated steel comes on one diameter of 38 cm, the cable is 1.4 m long. Ikea specifies 22 watts of power, the brightness is described as 1000 lumens (source: Ikea).
