Ikke Hipgold climbed the album charts for the first time ever – and immediately landed on the throne.

It is the greatest success of party hit great Matthias Distel (47) alias Ikke Hipgold: Not only did he make it into the charts for the first time with his new record “Number One”. He also lived up to the name of his album and immediately climbed to the top of the top list determined by GfK Entertainment.

The Ballermann star has already reacted to this honor on his official Instagram account and posted a photo in his fictional character’s outfit in which he proudly holds the “#1 Album” award into the camera. He wrote: “What began 15 years ago with a bet is reaching its climax today! Thanks to an incredible community, namely YOU out there!!!” It is therefore “the first number 1 album in German music history from the party hit genre”.

As befits a party singer, Distel also published pictures of a lavish celebration in light of this milestone. So he at least relegated greats like the Rolling Stones – their “Hackney Diamonds” came in third place. Germany’s ESC participant from 2023, Lord of the Lost, moved between Hip Gold and the Stones. They won silver for “Weapons Of Mass Seduction”. The top five is completed by Ayliva (25, “Schwarzes Herz”) and Fiddler’s Green (“The Green Machine”).

“Comet” is back

There is also a surprise in the single charts: after the Christmas songs were eliminated for the time being, a well-known “Komet” crept back into the top list. The hit by Udo Lindenberg (77) and Apache 207 (26) took fourth place and thus set a record: with 43 weeks in the top 10 of the charts, it is now the sole leader. “Ein Stern” by DJ Ötzi (52) & Nik P. (61) has to be content with second place (42 weeks in the top 10).

Meanwhile, 6PM RECORDS, Luciano and SIRA took the throne of the singles charts with their new interpretation of the song “Wonderful Life”. “Prada” by cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe came in second, while DJ Bennett secured third place with “Vois sur ton chemin”.
