Ikke Hüftgold: This is the crowd favorite of "Celebrity Big Brother"

Party singer Ikke Hüftgold dropped his wig in the "Celebrity Big Brother" house. What do you need to know about the crowd's favorite?

"I have the feeling that I now have to continue as Matthias in order to be able to continue to have such honest conversations," announced Ballermann singer Ikke Hüftgold (44, "Alle Blau") in the "Celebrity Big Brother" container last week – and from then on left the black wig of his fictional character in the corner. This has earned him even more plus points from the audience. What do you need to know about the popular participant in the Sat.1 show?

Businessman becomes a Ballermann star

Ikke Hüftgold was born in Limburg an der Lahn in 1976 as Matthias Distel. After graduating from high school and doing his community service in geriatric care, Distel began studying, but then founded a horticultural business with a partner in his hometown, which is still in existence today. He lived out his passion for music from 1993 to 2006 as a front man in various rock bands and taught himself some instruments.

In 2007 he also wrote and produced children's radio plays. But two years later he made his first appearance as the character Ikke Hüftgold, who arose out of a bet with a friend and with whom he started his career as a party singer. In his red tracksuit and with a raised middle finger to greet him, he stood on the stage of the beer king at Ballermann. His first single was available under the title "Drinking sucks, but we do it anyway". In 2012 he was awarded the island's "Newcomer Prize" and was one of the most booked stars on the scene. In 2014 he achieved his final breakthrough with the song "Big Boobs, Potato Salad", which was declared a Mallorca hit. He also made a name for himself with his label Summerfield Records as a producer and songwriter for Willi Herren (45), Jürgen Milski (56) and Lorenz Büffel (41).

He helped others get party hits

He helped the latter to the hit "Johnny Däpp", which went platinum this year. In 2014, Hüftgold himself and Willi Herren entered the German charts for the first time with the title "So go the Gauchos (So go the Germans)". With songs like "Urensohn" (2017) and his not always understood goal of satire, Ikke Hüftgold offends again and again. In 2016, he also caused a stir because he had 4,000 free beer cans distributed on Mallorca in protest against an alcohol ban on the beach. A canned beer battle followed and the star was banned from appearing in the Bierkönig. Since then he has been making the golden sands of Bulgaria unsafe with preference.

Does Ikke Hüftgold have a girlfriend?

In the "Celebrity Big Brother" container, he has largely left the enfant terrible at home. In the latest episode of the Sat.1 show, his roommate Werner Hansch (82) even opened his heart and revealed something about his private life. "I've actually been in a relationship for a year. My girlfriend is afraid that she will get in my way. That's why she said four weeks ago that she was going," the singer told Hansch. He almost canceled participation in the show because of it.

He always worked a lot and his personal happiness suffered as a result. His 29-year-old girlfriend wants a family of her own and wants to build something with him. He would also be ready to become a father again. The couple see the break in the relationship during their "PBB" participation as an opportunity. "We know we love each other and I hope when I get out that she will be there!"
